Actually, I should say I restore instead of "enhance." Whether it be comics, postcards, whatever - my goal is to restore to original issue, but never beyond that. I want the viewer to see postcard/comics/pulp covers as if it were just purchased.
Ah. I asked because my nice Epson scanner has a bad habit of cutting off a minor portion of the edge that rests on one side, so, I usually have to eyeball whatever I'm scanning and place it approx. an eighth of an inch off the top or side. I always thought maybe if I made a template out of cardboard with an exacto-knife that would fix the problem. Until then, I use the 'straighten' button on Picasa ;~j

ReplyDeleteYour Epson (I have an Epson, too) software should have a "preview" setting so you can adjust borders, no?
